Albert Schoeder was born in Walertown, Wisconsin Feb 15, 1869 & came with his parents Gustaw Rudolph & Louisa (Thom) Schroeder to Nebraska in a covered wagon Aug 13, 1873.  Seven familys came in the caravan & settled at West Point in Cuming County, the family later moved to Bancroft, NE and then to Oxford where they farmed. There were 10 children in the family. Albert, Juluis, Gustav, William (Bill), Carl, Rudolph, Lena, Louise and Bertha. On December 14, 1894 Albert married Barbara Blees. Barbara was born in Mannheim, Germany, July 28, 1873 and came to the United States with her farther Mathias and Brother Pete after the death of her mother.  Mathhisa married a lady named Maria and had six children Gertie, John, Joe, Charles, George and Anna.  Albert and Barbara began there married life on a farm southeast of Oxford.  Minnie and Tillie were born there.  The family then moved to a farm near Hardy, Nebraska.  After a couple of years the sold the acreage and moved into a grainary temporarily until Rose was born, March 27, 1901.  They moved back to their farm in Oxford in a coveraged wagon. Three more children were added to the family Tina, Edmund and Dora to supplement their income.  Barbara delivered milk and cream to residents in Oxford with a team of horses and buggy. They moved to town after building a new home in the 1930's, they resided in Oxford until Albert passed in 1947 and Barbara passed in 1953.
